Why things are different here...

Anyone who comes to us doesn't enter a classic hairdressing salon.
And that's precisely why traditional benchmarks don't work for us either.

We are a hair salon concept store. A place that lives hairdressing at a high level – but just as much humanity, time, exchange, joy, and attention to detail.

Between haircuts, you'll find the following at our salon:

  • Houseplants
  • Designer collections from New York, Paris, and around the world
  • Accessories, Art & Inspiration

And above all: genuine encounters, time for people, and space to settle in.

Our craftsmanship is precise. Our standards are high. Our path is deliberately different.

If you're looking for a traditional hair salon, there are plenty of great ones – really.

But we’re not like anyone else. And we don’t want to be.

That’s why we’re rethinking work models.
That’s why we’re rethinking pricing.
That’s why we bill by the hour.

Not to be provocative.
But because it suits us.
To our concept.
To our people.

Being different isn’t against something. It’s for something.

Thank you to everyone who feels this way – and to everyone who chooses us for exactly that reason!

Fashion Stylist, Plant Daddy, Feel-Good Manager

Fashion isn't about wearing a flashy label as a form of advertising to portray something I'm not. It definitely takes courage to embody your own style and character. I don’t sell or recommend things without regard for the consequences just to generate as much revenue as possible. If it comes down to it, I’ll give you an honest “no” and a wearable alternative. That’s what I stand for – I give you my word – and that’s why I’m here. I’m here to guide you!

I’ve been observing the fashion industry for over 25 years. But I love observing the people who wear that fashion even more. The fashion worn on the street inspires me more than the fashion on the world’s runways. My journey began in 1996 with an apprenticeship as a chef, but I wasn’t a chef! I quickly realized that I had done the apprenticeship for the sake of others. Even in kindergarten, I wore pajamas and patent leather shoes. So after that, I moved on toward fashion.

In 2000, I started out in sales. My mentor quickly recognized my business acumen and helped me find my path in the industry. Before I knew it, I was a buyer, traveling all over the world to fashion trade shows and fashion weeks. In 2012, I started my own business as a fashion stylist. Since that wasn’t enough for me, I opened my own fashion store in Munich in 2015. After three years, I began to worry that I wouldn’t be able to make it on my own. I decided to close the store. However, I never lost sight of the fact that I had laid the foundation for something bigger.

With Jules, I'm not afraid anymore. I look to the future with confidence and am grateful for my supporters and my fears.

I've arrived!

Hair Stylist, Hair and Makeup Artist

No one asks me anymore how I completed my training, where I did my training, or when and where I received further training.

Far more important – and crucial to satisfaction – are honesty, humanity, and sincere, customer-focused communication on an equal footing.

I've been in the industry for 20 years now. I completed a traditional apprenticeship as a hairstylist. But I quickly realized that if I wanted to advance my career, Braunschweig wasn't the right place. So I moved to Munich.

In 2012, I decided to train as a hair and makeup artist. From then on, I worked as a freelancer both nationally and internationally, doing projects for major fashion companies, television, and theater.

I met Emil in 2018. He quickly recognized my potential. And here we are now.

“Zweimal” is our life's project.
With “Zweimal,” I’ve finally made it!

Charline Andrea

Hair Stylist, Store Manager, Salon Manager

Hi,

I’m Charline Andrea, a passionate hairdresser with over 12 years of experience. I’m originally from Sydney Australia, where I spent the last five years running my own studio and building a lovely community of clients who value creativity, connection, and of course, great hair.

What I love most about my work is getting to meet new people and help them feel confident and empowered through my craft. I’m all about effortless, sun kissed, lived in hair that grows out beautifully and suits your lifestyle.

In January I moved to Munich with my dog Frankie, to be with my partner. Looking for something new, a fresh place to learn, grow, and get inspired. I’m bringing a little Aussie sunshine and style to every appointment and you’ll often find Frankie hanging out at the salon too. I speak English and Spanish, and I’m learning German, so no matter where you’re from, you’re always welcome in my chair.

Hair Stylist

I've been working as a master hairstylist for over 13 years, and I love my job! I'd love to help you find and create your own look – one that not only looks great but also feels just right.
There are always new trends to discover in this profession, but we’ll still figure out what truly suits you and your everyday life – whether you prefer a natural look or a styled one. Are you feeling unsure or have you had bad experiences in the past? Then we’ll take our time. We’ll calmly discuss what’s possible and what feels right for you.
In addition to the wonderful variety of hair textures, I’ve also specialized in curly haircuts over the past few years. I like to start by cutting the hair while it’s dry to visually achieve the look you want. I also have expertise in styling beards of all lengths, and I love to work on them with great care. A special touch that helps you feel at ease is a relaxing head massage, which is always part of my service.
Just so you know, my chair is a safe space. ✨
No matter who you are, where you're from, or how you express yourself, you can be completely yourself here. When we're not talking about hair, maybe we'll talk about movies, art, video games, or any other nerdy topics. We're happy to chat in English, too.
I look forward to getting to know you and giving you an appointment that will make you glow from the inside out. ✨

Macedonian Beauty, Unnamed Boss

You don’t have to be afraid of me. With my relaxed, calm, and persistent manner, I’ll get you to finally pet me.

2018 was an eventful year for me. Rescued from the streets of Macedonia, I ended up in a shelter full of dogs. I was quickly and carelessly neutered, and then I set off for Germany in a car, filled with fear. I was passed from one person to another! Somehow, nobody wanted me.

Then Jules came along. I was standing there in the garden, shy and scared, when he arrived. I was terrified of men. But somehow I knew that my new home was with him. So I went with him. I was vaccinated, bathed, and dragged along on a nerve-wracking trip to Munich. I needed time to adjust!

Over the years, I’ve felt more and more secure. I’ve learned to listen to Jules and Emil, to overcome my fears, and to open up. With the two of them, I have the best life! Sometimes too good to be true. But I’m making the most of it!

We’ve arrived! Arrived at “Zweimal.”

NEWS / CASE STUDIES

Two is better than one: A versatile styling oasis in Haidhausen

Today we’re exploring the beautiful neighborhood of Haidhausen. We’re strolling through the narrow streets between Max-Weber-Platz and Rosenheimer Platz. In addition to numerous cafés, restaurants, and boutiques, the Zweimal Store has been here since December 2021. It features not only two exceptionally charming hosts but also a perfectly well-rounded concept: hair and fashion styling meets plants.

The Zweimal Store in Haidhausen

Two men, two ideas, and a touch of James Bond. The movie *You Only Live Twice* had a decisive influence on the owners of the new concept store in Haidhausen when they were choosing a name. During the COVID-19 lockdown, Emil and Jules decided to open a store together. When they later held an eBay sale and sold items out the window, a customer enthusiastically exclaimed that the two of them absolutely had to open a store – they had such great stuff. This comment further solidified their plans.

Zweimal Store:
“It's always the holiday season here!”

Hair Salon, Fashion & Jungle Vibes: “Zweimal” isn’t “just” a likely one-of-a-kind store-within-a-store concept – it’s also two unconventional guys who are breathing new life into the old saying “make a virtue of necessity.” Jules and Emil spoke with FMFM writer Daniela Hamburger about their turbulent startup, their role as “feel-good managers,” and the downsides of self-employment.
